DESCRIPTION:
WW - Leonidas Triple Calendar Chronograph, manual wind, 35mm x 43mm to lug tips, 18mm lug width, original stainless steel snap back case with rectangular pushers and sharp chamfered lugs, vintage brown leather strap, original silvered dial with applied rose indices, day-month apertures inset at 12 and outer date scale in blue, three inset subregisters for minute recording, hour recording and subsidiary seconds, 17J cal 72C, s#441338. Includes the original presentation box, hang tag and matching paperwork indicating a sale in December of 1946.
CONDITION:
Mvt: Running, chronograph and calendar mechanisms function and reset properly, nearly mint cosmetic mvt condition overall, very light oxide to steelwork; fine-plus dial with fine scratch next to day aperture, above minute recorder and near the center of the hands; excellent-plus rose gold hands; unpolished case top with polished back likely from an engraved presentation shows very little wear, retains most of the original factory finishing, incredibly sharp lug chamfers, two small dings on case back; crown shows hardly any wear; good plastic crystal; box shows hardly any wear.
